I'm starting a green smoothie feast for three days starting Monday. Anyone wanna join me?
Very excited to be on the fasting (feasting) road again... :woot:

Yes!! I had planned to do a 2-3 week jaunt this time. Hopefully, it will solve some of the problems I have. I am so depressed lately and htis should help a great deal.

I'm doing a short one for now... going to do a longer fast in the new year (2012).
But I'm thrilled to have company!!!

How fun is this! I decided to do a week-long green smoothie feast starting today and I'm not the only on!! :wow:
Been "feeding" my body some awful stuff and it WANTS to get on track! Cathy ~ I am contemplating smoothie/juice until dinner myself as a long term most-days-of-the-week thing. How does it work out for you and how do you feel?
Aleesha and Cathy - good to be "around" you both again.
Sidrah - my biggest healing hugs to you!! Fasting has helped me through a LOT and I am a relitivly newbie (only done a few) :hug

My green for the day is romaine hearts - not my favorite but I've been doing breakfast smoothies off and on for two months now and haven't had romaine yet so there you have it!
Breakfast I am adding two bananas
Lunch I am adding two large tomatoes and ginger (which I'll grate before I add)
Last night I made a beet/carrot/kale soup with a touch of fennel juice and it was delicious :drool: I have lots of beets and carrots from my CSA so I might try it again with some alternate spices.
Has anyone ever tried using pumpkin in a smoothie? I might try a dessert smoothie of pumpkin/almond milk/vanilla and pumpkin pie spice....... hmmmm

I'll be starting a few days late, but yes, I would like to join you :-) This will be my first, complete juice/green smoothie run, but that is the majority of what I eat...er, drink anyway. I am curious to know if you all use fruit in your "dinner" smoothie, or stick to just veggies. And is it okay to use homemade, raw hemp seed milk?

Everyone's fast is uniquely theirs. So you have to ask yourself... is it okay for you?
If you are fasting to release weight... then probably not a great idea.
If you are concerned about releasing too much weight while fasting... probably an excellent idea!

and I make whatever I'm craving in that moment for dinner (lunch or breakfast). I am finding though that more greens (and more spirulina) are becoming a norm for my breakfast smoothie.
