Hi,

Few days ago I noticed that my bottle of flax oil has sludge at the bottom. This has happened before atleast once. What happens is the flax oil and the flax seed particles get solid and stick to the bottom. Does anyone know why this happens and how to prevent it. It wastes some of the oil but not a whole lot. Thx

I don't think there's a way to prevent the particles from settling to the bottom. I cold press my own and it happens. We just shake it very well first and mix it up. Another tip from my MD (he sells very freshly pressed oil that he has flown down from Barlean's factory). Always check the pressing date, (make sure that it's not sitting on the shelf) - store it in your freezer at home. It doesn't freeze solid. Just take it out, shake it well and use. It's the best way to keep it as fresh as possible. *Ü*
