Hey, Everyone. My name is John and I live in Orlando, Florida. I've been 100% raw for about 13 days. I must confess that I have not read Alissa's book yet but I've constantly found myself reading on this forum after searching the rest of the interwebs for answers and now that I'm experiencing some things for myself, I've been compelled to register and get in on the action. I figure it'd be handy to have the advice of some more experienced people at hand, and also, one cannot put a price on support, especially the kind I've seen here.
I decided to go raw after my girlfriend spent her first 10 days in the hospital after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Being a rather spiritual person, after seeing her stuck there with no change, I called my cousin, whom had mentioned the raw food diet to me in passing, but never had forced it on any of us. I had heard it can do amazing things for the body and after hearing countless stories of people curing their ulcertaive colitis and countless other diseases (that doctors say are impossible to cure) with raw food, I was convinced. Now i just had to get her and everyone else on board.
I decided that my body could probably use all the help it could get and the more I read, the easier my decision became. I decided to read a book or two and become the expert, so I could take care of her after she gets released and so she can focus on just getting better.
what actually got me to register is that fact that I'm pretty sure I've just entered the detox stage, and I have a few questions that I couldnt find answers for after reading as many other posts as I could hopefully you all will have some insight.
Thanks in advance for all of your knowledge and support!
