Hi all. I've been reading about digestive enzymes. I'm 39, my stomach quit producing acid about 3 years ago, and I've studied every vitamin under the sun, and taken them, and now am on Oriental medical herbs trying to improve my health to the degree it may produce stomach acid once again. I'm confounded though, because Naturalpaths say that I need to eat partially cooked veggies because my lack to stomach acid makes it difficult to digest, however, it appears the thing/approach from a raw perspective is that my food will somehow get into my system without cooking even though my health is compromised to this extent. So I'm reading up, and taking pill form digestive enzymes, and still cooking some of my veggies and am trying to decide how helpful or harmful or if I can recover/improve by moving much father into raw foods.

Can only say what I would do and that would be to take natural, powdered digestive enzymes and either raw juices or blended produce. Only way to find out how that works, imo, is to do it and see. Begin slowly, sipping, chewing and, more as you feel it's helping; less, if not.
