My first thought was 'green smoothie', but isn't it a nice picture to see folks walkin around with bright green drinks like it's not that big of a deal? Ah, a dream, green smoothie's in all blenders. Side-note- I got my meat and potato eatin hubby to where he not only loves some green smoothie and requests it- the fun part is, too, that he drinks what I drink, a big ole dose of flax seed as well as a healthy amount of Maca! I thinks it's great he's taking these super foods into his body and all he's thinking is how much he loves the taste! I love raw ( and hubby, too:)

Not sure about the crazy smiley figure at the end there- didn't mean for that to be there- kinda odd looking!

hahaha. Actually green is supposed to be the color that is most appealing to the eyes.

I remember the funy reactions people would get when I would bring my own green goop shakes with spirulina flaxseeds, protein power etc.

I’ll make a juice with kale, lemon juice, water, Vitamix and a little agave,' she told Self magazine.

I dont understand, you juice kale, add lemon juice, then why vitamix it? and before agave nectar-ing it?

Why wdn't u fancy it? lol it seems tasty.

As for bitter greens hm I guess its because I dont add sugar tha I dont make green smoothies like that. Maybe a small amount of coconut sugar would do? At least it has greens which has fiber right?

I dont know but I actually like the bitterness of greens. Now bean sprouts on the other hand... I can only stand them by themselves, or in a bland salad with no flavor but bitter.

If only my smoothies looked green it wouldn't be so bad. Usually after i add a banana, and different kinds of berries the nice green color it started out as turns into more of a deep brown color that almost looks like it should come out of me, not go into me. I have been trying to make two blender fulls each morning so i can drink one right away and put the other in a big mason jar to sip on throughout the morning. I have had more than one person recently ask me what the gross looking stuff in the jar is. Anyone who can be convinced to taste it is usually pretty surprised at how good it tastes and what is in it.

Dunno about the color but the texture can make stuff unappealing to me. My blender isnt really that great :-( Colors dont really influence me accept black for some reason.

I personally do not use vitamix as an ingredient in any of my juices. I prefer fruit and veg.

I make a spinach, blueberry, banana smoothie that is pretty ugly. Still tastes good though.

One of my coworkers used to tell me that my delicious smoothies looked like baby poop. Lol. It was too bad I couldn't convince him to try it.

Interesting how people will drink brown colored stuff yet when they see it in a smoothie/smoozie... and they'll drink bright blue stuff and other colors which don't appear naturally in nature... and they wont even try real food. Ah well, it is what it is.

I, too, had a coworker who would comment on my 'baby poop'. Wonder if he ever made the correlation between me drinking that 'awful goo' and having lots of good energy, and he drinking pop and getting sluggish as the day wore on...!

Green is a beautiful colour! It's so strange that people are weirded out by it, yet are ok with neon-coloured sports drinks. I've learned, though, that when drinking my green smoothies in public, the pretty green ones (made with bananas and kale) are more popular than the brownish-green ones (raspberries and kale)!
