Hi everyone,

A few years ago I started getting unwell and knew that it had to be related to diet. So I did high raw, and the changes were amazing. Drinking a lot of green juices and smoothies and eating lots of salad. My skin was flawless. I looked like I had foundation on all the time, it was that good!
Anyway, I recently changed jobs and moved overseas and my skin has been getting progressively worse. Also, I plucked my upper lip hairs (which I had been doing for years) and the next day went into the sun. Didnt get sunburnt. But about half a week later I noticed that I had a darker patch above my lip - it looks like a moustache! Its been almost a month and I dont think its fading at all. :( And I've been getting dark patches under my eyes - almost as if the freckles were getting darker and joining up into larger patches, but Ive been avoiding the sun and wearing hats.
I hope it isn't melasma, but I have a feeling that it is. I don't know what could have triggered it other than sun exposure or stress, as I had been down with the flu while my skin was getting worse. I started taking MSM to help with the pigmentation but I feel awful on it, and while I understand that may be due to detox, there is some nagging feeling deep down telling me that MSM is causing more harm than good for me at the moment. Since taking it, Ive had trouble sleeping.
But, to cut a long story short - has anyone noticed improvement in melasma or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation whilst on a raw food diet? If you did notice progress, how long did it take after becoming raw, and what percentage raw were you when you noticed it getting better?
Cheers,
