I have been moving towards raw since 2002. My first go I was so inept in raw food skills; I remember one night my then 6 year old son looking at me with big alligator tears and saying "mamma, I'm so hungry." I smile now, that night not so much. We have stopped and started so many times. Each time though, I have learned or mastered a new raw food skill. I went 100% organic vegan last year for three months and never felt so good in my life. But....I live in the mid-west and pure organic was costing 800 bucks to feed me and my two kids a month. Most people earn less than 2k a month here so that couldn't last. I managed to get a decent juicer this year, a cheap dehydrator, bought myself a great food processor and am making do with the blender I have, and ya, with some good tools its going better. Organic is simply not an option for us right now. I have had to come to terms with that. I have a good water purifier...not the best, not the worst...and again, have had to come to terms with that. So, I have been 90ish raw this week, and I am so ready to go all the way. I have some wheat berries sprouting and I think if I can master crackers and bread sticks I will be where I need to be.
OK, read the rules and edited...lol
