The fellow with the gray beard that talks up multi vitamin pills really needs to get a clue. Doesn't he know that drug companies are behind most vitamin and mineral pills and that many have petro chemicals in them? He needs to read the book `supplements exposed'. People need to remember that humans are electric and hence need foods with elctromagnetic vibration in them, not bleedin' chemicals via vitamin and mineral pills.
Vitamin and mineral pills might help in the short term, but they are not so good for long term health strategies.
l also wish Woofy would be consistant with what he says too. lf you tell too many lies you will be caught up by it. In his youtube lectures he often says that Cacao is 10 times higher in magnesium, iron and other things than any other food on earth...but he is careful not to say that in this video because he knows it not to be true.

lt's interesting how the meat eating online salesman Mercola has the highly suspect editor for the `journal of molecular medicine' say that vitamin and mineral pills containing high amounts of nutrients cure disease. Why high doses of minerals? Why not take low doses of vitamins and minerals via natural foods like Hippocrates always said. Doies the body absorb high doses of minerals? What about synergy...how can that happen when we consume high doses of minerals? So can we smoke cigarettes and take high doses of minerals and cure disease??? These people are full of it. Talking of Hippocrates...l wonder why Dr Brian of HHI never spoke on this self serving video?? Maybe because he has far too much credibility and would have exposed these people for the bought off snakeoil salesmen that they all are.
My red alert signal has gone off. l do not trust these people on the video at all. Mercola would do anything to sell his bottled products and l suspect that the editor is bought off by Big Pharma and naturally will push bottles of pills via vitamin/mineral supplements because the drug companies are behind them...he is an editor for a medical journal afterall.
Be careful of these people folks. They tell alot of truth, but they also use it to mislead to serve their own agenda. Mercola is a very sneaky fella: he puts in some good genuine speakers to make out he has your interests at heart (to win you over), but then puts in suspect snakeoil salesmen speakers who speak out against drugs, but ultimately feed you the idea that you need to buy drug industry pills via vitamin and mineral pills.
Just be aware of the tricks and mind games these folks are playing.
Was anyone aware that the son of the CEO of drug/chemical GM company`Monsanto' actually bought David Wolfe's company? Doesn't make Woofy a bad person, but just saying...be careful.
A bunch of these people are not the good guys like they try to make out they are...they are the bad guys mixed up with drug companies.
Look at the link below. Many are from the video above and are either salesmen selling drug company supplements or journalists. BUSTED!!! :cheer:

You're a dirty guy Mercola. You might be able to fool your drugged out meat eating friends, but you can't fool an enlightened raw food sproutarian. *big smile*

Nah you are wrong Mr Raw - he's it totally on the money - orthomolecular medicine and organic 51% raw diet + is the future of health care = plus yoga, tai chi, tibetan rights, walking etc etc - Linus Pauling was very sharp

Linus Pauling may have been very sharp when it came to chemistry and talking about peace, but when it came to health he left alot to be desired, probably because he put chemicals before health foods like the guys in the video link. And yes, he still got his main theories all wrong regarding vitamin C. Not only were his studies flawed and vitamin C fail to stop cancer in patients, he also dies of cancer despite having 10,000 mg of vitamin C every day. When Pauling's research was questioned there was also questions about Pauling being less than honest and trying to cover things up.

So you reckon he is on the money because he recommends mega vitamin therapy? And why just a 51% raw organic diet...why not an 80% raw or even 100% raw organic diet?

Who are you Daniel, and what are you up to?
Anyway...how can you be so sure l am wrong? What about worldclass institutions like Hippocrates Health lnstitute (HHI) using low doses of vitamins and minerals through natural foods to heal many diseases? They read all the medical journals and are up with the most recent science, but they still resist high doses of vitamins etc. Anyway...why all this importance placed on vitamins and minerals? What about enzymes and hormones and electromagnetics?...a bunch of scientists argue that that is even more important than vitamins and minerals.
Also, what is all this stuff about a high dose of a single nutrient? Linus Pauling did that, but then it was found that using three nutrients (vitamin A, C, E) instead of just C had a much better effect on preventing cancer.
Are you from a health background or are you just an unimformed amateur? The stuff you are saying comes across as really niave.

I saw this the other day and didn't really like it much, honestly. I mean, I suppose it's a step in the right direction and would help most people, but for the same reason others mentioned, too much talking up vitamin pills, which I don't personally believe in. It wasn't as much about raw food as I was hoped, I feel I am a little beyond the point they are at with my own diet and lifestyle, however I do think this would be a good film for any SAD eater to watch.

This documentary is all over the place. There's David Wolfe who says we should be eating more superfoods then a few minutes later some vitamin salesman (aka Doctor) who says we should be popping more pills. Both these men have products and lifestyles to sell, and are only interested in their own marketing. Do not watch this film, supplements are the biggest con ever. At least Wolfe is adhering to the basic pillar of health: always trust nature.

Aww, bummer. I was excited to see a documentary on raw foods. But if this is about supplements, I have other things I can be doing (like eating an orange or something, lol).
Thanks for your information, Mr Raw. I'm going to pass on this documentary.

Alright...now lets kick this argument up to a much higher level and start getting into some facts here. l've been soft, but now it's time to pull out the big guns and put a stop to all this nonsense talk about orthomolecular medicine.
Linus Pauling was the father of Orthomolecular Medicine and it was said that high doses of chemical supplements was supposed to prevent disease. BUT…a 5 year research study was done by Linus Pauling’s researcher expecting to find that chemical supplements would help people overcome disease, but what they found was that chemical supplements used long term created diseases including cancer. Listen to the link below very very carefully from :17 - 1:40 (and read his book too)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8TWWogbQ90&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PLAF96A9D3DB314164
Then a massive Finland study on anti oxidants with 267,000 people was done involving orthomolecular medicine. Half of the people were placed on anti oxidants and the other half weren’t. The people on the anti oxidants had a 67% increase across the board increase in disease.
Also another major Harvard hospital study showed that lung cancer patients who took high doses of laboratory made beta carotene actually doubled the amount of tumors in their lungs. That was actually a double blind study involing hundreds of people too. See the link below from 2;00 - 3:04 to see the explanations of the two last points l made.
Now you can't go telling me about the rosey future of orthomolecular medicine Nathan. Do the research and learn the real facts, not the fantasy that the pharmaceutical industry want you to believe with their faulsified studies. The pharmaceutical industry even got caught with studies showing how bad Orthomolecular Medicine is.
l suggest you follow those links through from 1 - 6 and read Dr Brian's book so you ditch these foolish ideas.
Regards Nathan: Mr Raw.
I'm going to pass on this documentary.
You have saved wasting 90 minutes of your life.

This is one of the movies that I have been telling people about. "Food Matters" can be seen on Netflix. The beginning parts are good.
