Hi everyone I am new to this forum

I've been trying to go raw but I need some direction. Could anyone give me a guideline on what to eat for each week? Yes I know it might be different for everyone, I just want a general guideline so i can tweak it to my needs. Any advice would greatly appreciated.

Thank you

What help me to have faith in doing this life style was after i watched Alissa Cohen DVD. She is an amazing teacher and these dvd are worth the money.

Now, once you learn how to prepare raw food gourmet, keep in mind to use the gourmet food as a way to transition. The more life, whole food and fresh you do the most you will see result with your health.

Start with fruits in the morning and learn to make green smoothie while you are studying to prepare raw gourmet. Keep it simple and you will do wonderful. Most of all honour where you are and don't try to be perfect, focus always on your accomplishment and be proud of you.

It is truly easy to do once you learn the trick, how to be prepare etc... It is a different way to do food planning but it becomes not much more a burden then to brush your teeth.

All is well

I'd suggest getting Alissa's first book and dvd set. She's got a full menu/eating plan there for you.

What Revvell said. Also stay close to this website and check out some green smoothie recipes on You Tube. We all had to start somewhere. I started with listening to raw food podcasts and programs on Itunes. Some subscriptions are worth their weight in gold. Also after you read Alissa's book I also suggest "The Live Food Factor" by Susan Schenck.....hope this doesn't get deleted, just trying to help a newbie along with selling Alissa's book and dvd.

i think a daily juice , daily green smoothie , and one nut meal a day is a great start . have plenty of easy to snack on fruit and veggies that u like for in between ur meals . see if u can find a great raw veggie dip to go with ur snacking veggies . there are so many recipes on this website and if u type in raw vegan recipes into a google search , u will find a lot of interesting info and recipes . also try typing in raw food recipes (sometimes it will bring up different recipes depending on what u type in ) . good luck and have fun on ur journey !!! if possible clean out ur house of anything non raw and restock it with all raw food items !!! this will make it so much easier on u . u wont have much of a choice to eat cooked food or raw food then .

my advice would be to give yourself a transition period of at least a year where you eat cooked food as well and dont berate yourself for doing so. To start you can focus on vege juices, green smoothies and introducing more fruit into your diet.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm doing what 'kaleboy' said above me and taking my time with it, I'm still eating cooked foods but I'm experimenting with raw food so that I can transition slowly. I feel like with raw food it is like you're adding a new volume to cooking (uncooking) to your memory, or at least that's how I feel.

Also, I'm writing everything down in a food diary because my digestive track is all out of whack. Writing everything down gives me the opportunity to look back and see why I feel the way I do. I totally write in all caps what I ate that was raw or mostly raw and that's a real confidence booster. Right now I find breakfast and lunch easier than dinner since I can prepare those more easily than I can prepare dinner. I think that's a great place to start.
