Is dandruff just dieing skin cells on the scalp that haven't received all their nutrients?
Do we have to put shampoo and chemicals on top of our head to make dandruff go away?

Here is some natural ways to treat it.
No, you don't have to use shampoo and chemicals.

Dr. Morse was talking about this. According to him, this isn't a good sign because you lymph is block in your head area and your skin is used to release the acid in this area. You can visit his youtube Morsend
Anything external won't treat the root cause.
All the best. I use to have them but not for years now especially since doing the raw vegan diet.
I was going to recommend Dr. Morse too. *Ü* robertmorsend

I would like to add that if you got your tonsil removed, it will lead to that due that the tonsil cannot do their purpose anymore, so part of the acidosis get stuck in the head. Our body is using the skin to release the toxin by leading to have dandruff.
Many has reported to have their tonsil grew back on raw food.

Like someone else noted, dandruff is basically dead skin that is shedding in excess. We all shed some dead skin off our scalps, but usually this process is slow and the flakes are small enough that we don't get to notice. There is no way to completely stop the shedding of skin, as it is part of the body's natural and healthy process of tissue renewal.
However, the causes of dandruff are varied. Either imbalances in the skin's chemistry can cause it secrete too much oil, or you have a fungal infection that's causing your skin to turn over dead cells at an accelerated rate, or...well, as doctors would put it, it's some "unknown causes" or genetic susceptibility.
I don't think medicinal shampoos really help. I have tried them myself when i had scalp problems and they didn't work. Eventually, i moved to a different house and my dandruff miraculously disappeared. Maybe it was something in that house, who knows?
Fresh lime juice, beet juice, olive oil, coconut oil, cider vinegar and henna could definitely help the scalp in any circumstance.

Yes, l have heard this before. lt's interesting because my lymph system is in a pretty bad way (also effects the liver naturally) and l have always had dandruff. With all the potent raw foods l have the lymph has improved alot, but it still has a long way to go. What l really need to do is go full on and try to do wheatgrass implants twice a day along with my skin brushing routine. The lymph is by far the weakest area of my body, but at least l am aware of it always. l am the type of guy that needs to look after himself well and avoid many of the things that people do enjoy and take for granted.
lt is said that the smaller the ear lobe, the more delicate the constitution. My lobes are very small (getting smaller with each generation), so l am careful.

I never heard that before. Even with my skepticism, I like the idea because I have large ear-lobes ;o)
I wonder if there is any truth in it.

Kulvinskas says that about 95% of people with big ear lobes lives a long time because they have things like stronger hearts, wider arteries etc. The Chinese also believe that people with big lobes are lucky people...l don't know why they are lucky, but maybe they are lucky in health.
lt is also said that each generation is getting smaller lobes due to constitutions getting weaker due to all the chemicals and bad thing we now consume, and that now kids have no lobes and many are becoming sterile. No wonder mens sperm counts have halved over the last 50 years.
Really old people usually always have BIG earlobes.
But don't think that because you have big earlobes that you are invisible. All big earlobes mean is that you can abuse your body far worse and get away with it for longer over someone who has no lobe.

Some few basics and common causes of dandruff are:
-increased oil production
-oil skin
-increased skin secretions
-increased number of normal skin yeasts
-poor hygiene
-infrequent shampooing or washing
-chronic illness
-sweating
-poor immune system
-emotional or mental stress
Thank You.

Our skin is our third kidney, if our kidney cannot keep up, our body will use the skin to release. Dandruff is what others said, it is a way for our body to release the toxins. If you don't have any problem anywhere in your body but dandruff, then you most likely have a blockage in this area. If it is general, then i would suspect the kidney.
ps:I am not a doctor, please research.

One cause might be the sediment buildup in an older water heater tank. Showering or other heated water can contain more harmful chemicals due to reactions between sanitizers, organic meterial in the water, minerals in higher concentration, and the heat. These reach more concentrated levels in a tank system than they do in the cold water lines. Maybe your new residence had newer and cleaner plumbing and tank. Annual or semi annual flushes can be performed to help prevent this buildup. Or maybe your new place has better water quality to start with. I have an issue with itchy skin on my wrists and I suspect my homes water or system due to it clearing up while staying at a newer home.

I heard once to massage it with coconut oil. Not sure if it works.

I haven't used shampoo or conditioner or products for over a year (I had greasy hair/some dandruff). I use lemon juice and baking soda or apple cider vinegar/baking soda to make a thin paste and massage it into my scalp, then rinse. I only do this a coupla times/wk, but had to do it more often at first. In between I rince w/ acv and leave some in. To cover the smell I put several drops of lavender in my hair. It's taken while, but my hair is lovely now...no dandruff, not greasy, and I don't ever brush or comb it. I also have LOTS of new hair growing in. Not sure if it's from what I'm doing w/ my hair or the raw diet.

The problem with dandruff is that it appears as if the skin is dry and flaky and the skin is flaking off. That's not the case. Dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp (affectively the same thing only the latter is worse), is caused from overproductive sebaceous glands (oil glands). They produce too much oil and glands become blocked. It then forms a little cap and eventually that flakes off. It's a catch 22 because it makes people wash their hair more to get rid of the oil and dandruff but the excessive shampooing itself is what causes the glands to become overreactive. It also leads to inflammation of the scalp and hair loss. To get rid of it, you need to shampoo less. At first your scalp will become disgustingly greasy but over time, it'll calm down and produce less oil. You should rinse with ACV after every wash and in between washes. Also drinking ACV in water helps and so does reducing sugars.

Older people have bigger ear lobes b/c your ears and nose continue to grow throughout your life unlike say your height.

Seems to be connected to yeast for me. Even 2 day off of all sugars and it is practically gone on the 3rd.
