I fractured my patella recently. I am 37. It looks like it has healed ok.
I took lots of bed rest and juice fasted. I saw the doctor today and she said there was a high probability I would get arthritis in that knee. Basically the knee has healed but fractures later in life are more likely to lead to stresses in the bone that are more susceptible to arthritis. My question is this - what can I do from the perspective of diet that enhances that patella over time. Allopathic doctors are very good at fixing broken bones etc - but not very good at the long term viewpoint of re"financing" the bodies makeup with sharp nutritional approaches?
I am sure I can overcome the probability of arthritis by feeding the fractured area with the right nutrients. I do lots of fresh homemade wheatgrass in my diet. I also eat bee pollen, drink apple cider vinegar regularly - don't eat gluten and am pretty much raw.
Would collostrum be something to consider to help build up that knee joint over time? Please let me know your thoughts. Gratefully Nathan
