On the raw food diet we use a food processor to process our food... On a SAD diet we are warned to stay away from processed food.

Hi there,
In the raw universe, processed food refers to food that has been ground in a food processor, but is essentially raw and unaltered chemically, and may be seasoned with natural flavorings.
In the standard language, processed food refers to convenience food, or tertiary processed food, which is a type of commercially prepared food containing a lot of food additives, preservatives and colorants, and made to appeal through design more than nutritional qualities. It really has nothing to do with what raw foodists understand by food processed via a food processor. Processed food in the SAD diet refers to junk food alone. It's just two different meanings of the same word.

I think you summed it up pretty well.

.........Yeah, I know. Where's your sense of humor?
I thought you were serious.
You only show as having posted 13 times (thus being possibly new to raw food), for all we know you were actually asking a question. In the future you should clarify or add a smiley or something if you don't actually want a serious answer.

Sorry about that. I'll be sure to make it clear it's a joke in the future. My mom always has to do the same thing, we never get it when she makes a joke...."Hey guys, that was a joke." If anyone was confused about the difference between food processed in a food processor and processed food your response explained it very well. Thanks. (I'm glad some of you got it anyway)

The problem is that if we did not take it seriously and the poster was serious then it would have been a shame to not have given them an answer.
