I've been losing weight since i became vegan and I only weigh 52.7 kg at the moment.. I eat about 60 grams of plant protein every day and I still do not put on weight.

Any advice on foods that help increase weight? Besides hemp protein

Thanx in advance

Eat more calories(especially carbs/fruit). How many are you averaging now? Try aiming for 2500. Also exercise to add in muscle mass.

I would say about 1500 so I guess I need to eat more. How would more carbs help in building muscle? And what are the most calorie-dense foods?

Thanks!

PS. Will eating more sugars (like fruits, agave, carob, etc.) help on increasing muscle mass?

Hey there!

If you want to gain weight in the form of muscle mass, simply eating a lot of protein will not suffice. You need to work out as well, to exercise your muscles in order for them to increase in size. If you want to gain weight in the form of body fat, simply eat more carbohydrates (sugars) and fats, like sweet fruits, avocados, nuts, seeds, oils, etc.
I personally recommend a more balanced approach, meaning that you could try eating more fats and proteins, but also working out a bit, to encourage an "even" weight gain of both muscle and fat. It is up to you in the end!

Thanks for the info, I prefer the more balanced approach as well!

There is someone that went vegan and he had so much energy that he started to run marathon. He didn't lose any muscles mass. He does his fruits through the day and a large green salad with fat at night.

Here is the youtube.

Enjoy
