Well, Greetings Rawkers, I havent been on in a year or more, got busy, anyway, I need to get back to rawness.

I am a meat eater and I do like cooked food, but I mostly eat my fruit and veggies raw, but seeing all these amazing transformations has got me wanting to go 50/60% Raw, I would go raw 100% if i could but seeing as how I cook for my father and my diet is his diet, I need to cook for two of us.

He is a diabetic and our family has issues with Cholesterol and other heart related issues. I am willing and i'll make him willing to do this, he usually goes with what i Have to say and cook. I am very passionate about cooking, and I know raw food has a lot of flavour and i want to abuse that flavour and make amazing food. I need your help though, as I am a total nincompoop when it comes to the amazing food that is Raw, I already make green shakes and I absolutely love them.

I also need to lose weight, im 280-290 lbs, 5 10 1/2, but my blood pressure is perfect for someone of my size, I'm also what you called barrel chested and broad shouldered, meaning I don't look my weight. ANYWAY, I side tracked. I need help with making raw food. I need to start my dad off slow, we're not going to be 100% Raw, but I want to be mostly raw, as meat is overly expensive and you need more veggies and fruit anyway.

Can you rawking rawkers help me out with recipes and ideas? I would very much appreciate it.

Best of Love

Saven/Richard

P.S I don't have a food Dehydrator but I have an amazing Blender and Processor

hello,

There is no reason why you can't go 100% raw just because you cook for your father. I cook for my BF but remain raw. I think if you are honest with yourself, you'll find that you don't actually want to give up meat but that is another matter. I like meat but I don't eat it.

I recommend keeping things quite simple really. A lot of the gourmet recipes can take time and have a lot of nuts in for example. Check out the recipe section of this site, youtube, raw on $10 a day and google "raw recipe". There are plenty of great raw food recipes available.

Fair enough, it is true I like meat, I like chicken mostly. Hrm, if its not too costly, I'll go 100% and he can be 60%, I'll do my best =3

Good for you. Where there's a will there's a way.
