I've been eating about 95-99% raw for the last 4 months, going through the to be expected detoxes but really no major cravings EXCEPT when I get my period. What I'm finding odd about this, in the last few months, is that nothing I eat tastes good to me except my morning green smoothie. All of the usual raw staples that I enjoy the rest of the time are completely uninteresting. I do crave warm things and salt/fat/sugar more during this time but nothing seems to satisfy it.
If anyone's a South Park watcher, I feel like Cartman in the last episode of the last season who, as he's just starting puberty starts to think 'everything is crap'. No matter what he eats, its crap. So I try different things throughout the day and it just all tastes like crap. It's frustrating and I'm trying to figure out what my body really needs at this time. I'm leaning toward just drinking green smoothies all day since that's the only thing that tastes decent to me but I don't want to burn out on those either.
Anyone experience something similar at that time of the month? Any thoughts on what might be happening or what I might be missing that my body really would want at that time?
