Introducing myself here... A friend of mine discovered juicing this summer and got me into it as well. Luckily I had bought my fiance a Breville last year for her birthday, so it was easy for me to get started on this too! I've been juicing pretty consistently for the past 2 months-- lots of green juices, carrots, beets, small amounts of fruit. Without changing much else in my diet and juicing only in the mornings, adding some intense cardio workouts, after about 5 or 6 weeks I dropped 10 pounds and was feeling great. (I started at 224 and I'm 6').

My friend has since convinced me to try a 60 day raw food challenge with him. All raw vegan foods, no alcohol, and minimal caffeine. We are keeping track of our daily weight, BMI, % weight loss, meals, exercise routines, mood, and associated health issues. We are on day 9 and I'm down another 8 lbs. I usually juice or smoothie in the morning, big salad with sprouts and nuts and often avocados for lunch, another huge salad at night. I'm feeling pretty good. Having some ups and downs, feeling a bit sluggish from time to time, so I'm looking for some ways to add a bit more protein.

Anyways, that's me. Looking forward to chatting with you guys and sharing my progress!

Welcome to the forum.

It would be possible that you feel a little lack of energy after some time this is caused by the detoxing of your body that wants to come out of your body, ones that past you will a supper power of energy believe me.

Before I started raw I also was eating whatever has come my way, ones I started raw after a few days I was so down that I not even could come out of bed my leggs where paining and have a large pain in my head.

I stayed on raw and after some days I was feeling the energy and even started to run at nights with I did not have done for several years, now my body is in a perfect shape and my condition is great I'm sure you will go same way is me just keep hanging in, take care and keep me updated.
