For those just starting out on a juice fast - or even if you are well into one - it's important to know that your juicer may not be delivering only juice.
Try straining your juice into a glass, and, depending on your juicer, you might be amazed at how much pulp gets through.
If you are juicing for health (not fasting), that's probably a plus.
But if you are juicing as part of a cleansing fast to achieve weight loss or other health benefits, you don't want that pulp. It is simply going to draw your body's energies away from cleansing and healing to deal with the digestion of that extraneous material.
I've got a mid-line Breville that I meticulously clean (sometimes more than once during a juicing!), and the straining is a necessity.
I'm on my 59th day, down 45 pounds, and 90% relieved of a chronic auto-immune condition affecting chiefly my hands and feet. I'm no expert, but I do have a bit of experience.
Hope this helps!
