I am new to this juicing thing. I am embarrassed to say that I thought that I could juice a ton of fruits and veggies ahead of time and drink it throughout the week. That is what I was doing. So, do I need to juice and drink it right away? So basically all of you are juicing and not saving any for later? Once or twice a day? How much juice do you drink in one day? Thank you!

There are quite a lot of threads on this topic and everyone has a slightly different answer.

I don't like juice that is not fresh so I juice and drink it all. Yes I have to clean the juicer every time I have juice but that is ok. I drink about a pint a day when I have juice. I don't juice every day - it depends what fruits I have in the house. I was given a ton of pears today so pear juice is looking a good bet this week.

Fresh juice is the best. That said you can juice up to 3 days ahead (I have read this many places) BUT you must make sure that the container is filled to the top so no air gets in. You must also refridgerate the juice immeditately.

I've never drank juice on the 3rd day, but I know that juice the next day still has a great effect on me! I actually like juice best after a few hours of refrigeration, otherwise my juice isn't very cold... I'm not so sure about 3 days but why not try it. A week seems a bit much

it all depends on what type of juicer you are using.

but... yes you can juice one day - freeze your juice and thaw it and drink. i've done that many times in the past.

that said... as my body became cleaner, i found that it didn't want frozen juice anymore. it had to fresh and i could tell when the juice was no longer as nutrient rich. that usually happened between the second and third day. the juice began to taste sweeter.

bottom line: juice is so full of nutrients and so good for you that even drinking a juice that is a tiny bit older (like later on day three) is better for you than eating SAD. it's all about perspective. ;)

it's ok, just keep it in a mason jar with a tight lid and put in refrigerator.
