View Full Version : Detoxing without 100%?

So, I finally had a few almost 100% raw days (yesterday I had leftover pierogies). It feels really good, and I'm definitely enjoying myself now; last night I made romaine leaf wraps with veggies and Alissa's French Dressing (so good!!!); I love anything that can be made into a wrap!!

This morning I woke up not feeling so hot. It could be the weather, since the temperature didn't break the 50's here today. I feel a little achy, a little warm, and just not very energetic. Could this be from eating a lot of raw food? I know I'm not 100%, but does this still happen? I've been vegan for years, without a lot of major vegan junk food (I have a sensitivity to sugar), so I didn't really expect a lot of detox symptoms (being off meat and dairy for so long). I think I'm just gonna eat light today and see what happens tomorrow. I'm not giving up!! It feels good to be eating predominantly raw, healthy foods.

Any ideas? I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks so much!!! :)

Hi, sionkali :),

I can't tell you what you are feeling; it can be any number of things. "Detox" is subjective.
There are people who claim feelings of "detox" at less than 100%; so that is a possibility. I've read many testimonies of people who go through similar symptoms when just changing to a healthier diet, raw or not.
I think whenever one changes their eating habits, the body reacts.

Take note of your feelings; I think it's important to be aware of what's happening to your body. Take care.

Good luck! And your positive attitude and determination are great allies!

Best,
