I called DH at work and asked him if I could order Alissa's book (and the spiral slicer) because I don't want to wait for Christmas, and besides my raw book wish list is big enough that there'll be plenty left for Christmas (haha!), and he said yes! I am so excited! Now I can quit whining! :)

It is my VERY MOST FAVORITE RAW UNCOOK BOOK THERE IS.
There is simply no comparison to other uncook books out there.
The pics are fantastic, Alissa is honest, and fun and playful and to the point, and "in your face" when you need it.
The testimonials are so inspiring, the food is the very best, the recipes are so easy.
I just can't say enough about this book, except everyone should buy one, or two, then give one away for Christmas.

I'm so happy for you!!! I've bought three more copies since my original to give to those I care about... Hackerm (on this forum) got one of them, mom got the other, and the third is sitting in my car waiting to go to dad.
I was so sad before when you said you had to wait till Christmas :( But now you'll be "in the know" :D

Yay!
I know how you've wanted the book! I'm glad you're going to finally get it, let us know how you like it!
I'm excitedly waiting for Alissa's book too -- should be here any day. Looks like my next gadget will be a spiral slicer. What great looking zucchini!!
By the way, JennP, I'm still enjoying your muesli! I have smoothies for b-fast most days and save the cereal for special weekend brunches with the hubby. Nothing better than sleeping in and waking up to such a raw treat. :D

Well, the order has been placed! I will receive the DVD/Book set, as well as the Spiral slicer. I'm wanting to get the 9 Tray dehydrator but we're waiting until another time.
I can't wait!

No but seriously, you and hubby won't regret getting this book and dvd! While there are definitely other good books out there, LOLF hands down is the most used in my house and has the most food stains on the pages! :p

Rawkinlocs,
Thank goodness I'm the only one with food stains on my pages!! LOL I keep thinking I need one book to stay in the kitchen, and one that will be clean if I want to show it to others...LOL

I am going to send my Sons wife this book for her Birthday. She Really could use it too. She is like 325 lbs and my son is on the rise too. like 240 lbs He use to be so thin too. His wife is a great cook but it is just the wrong kind of food. I got them to go Vegan for a year and then I don't know what happend they went back to eating meat again. I Hope when she gets this book she will give it a try. I am still reading mine and have alot more to go. I am on like page 150. It Sure is one of the best I have read so far. I will be reading more books too. I have many of them. bye for now Douglas in Calif.... :) :D :)

I hear you about the stains; that's what I need for Christmas; a cookbook stand with a plastic cover! Hmmm...Alissa's book is so thick I'm not sure it will
fit in one though, LOL.
RawandNatural-so glad you got the DVD too! It's such a helpful tool in addition to the book!
