Hey,

So,I am doing a raw, organic juice fast for 5 days, and I have read some stuff. What the hell is with people who think carrot juice is so bad? as well as beets? They are powerful. I dont see what the big deal is with consuming those often for a few days because them having sugar ,so I will, lol. Im not diabetic.

Hmmm....

For some people who have out-of-control blood sugars, it might be too much sugar. If you are trying to get your blood sugar down, it may be better to stick to lower glycemic index juices. But for most people who don't have blood sugar issues I don't see the problem. Except that beet juice is nasty. Blech.

Follow what feels right to you.

There are so many fears around natural sugar from whole food, but in truth your brain needs sugar and you want to get that from whole food versus cook starch, cook vegetables, refine sugar, concentrate sugar etc...

I am doing more a fruit fast for myself, they have higher magnetic energy and purge your lymph as per dr. Morse. For detox he highly recommend to stick with fruits. I am doing fruits up to lunch, i need my greens at night but i am working my way to do a dense detox as per his recommendation. With no regrets, my first year i went banana with gourmet food (a lot of nuts and raw agave), which i ended developing severe allergies to rag weeds pollen. I said no regrets because there isn't any way, i would have been able to stick to raw food but i wish i would have known about food sensitivity for me. The good news, is that i learned to be creative and to make raw gourmet that my body is ok with. I never had allergies before. I had many problem that disappear from quitting dairy but then this new one that added up. My best years were when i use to do fruits only up to lunch, so i am going back to the basic.

You seem to have a good plan and stick to it. Let go the attachment of the good opinion of others and go with how your body feels and guides you.

Me, I would rather eat a little bit of organic raw sugar with all the minerals and nutrients intact, than a bell pepper that's been soaked in pesticides and forced to grow on chemical fertilizers and in mineral barren soil!

Where a food comes from, and how it's cared for is just as important as what kind of food it is. I'd be more concerned with where the carrot's comin from, than how much sugar it's got.
