Hey all Ill make this short and sweet (like carrot sweet:drool:). Anyway Im 31 and have been overweight all my life (currently 5'11" @ 255lbs). Ive taken stabs at losing weight but nothing ever stuck. Well I finally turned a page when I researched flouride and GMO's (genetically modified organisms). Seeing what has been put in our water and done to our foods really made me question what I am putting in my body. It has made me question even more the products the US government has made illegal.

So with that info Ive been working on getting myself into better shape. That includes alot more excercise, eating better, and changing my thought of what really "tastes good". Ive come to understand and appreciate what Jack Lalanne said, "if it tastes good, spit it out".

So here I am, here to see what I can get out of eating raw foods.

Welcome to the forum and, I don't agree with ol' Jack... I LOVE strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and many raw foods/produce. If I spit out everything that taste good to me, how would I survive? Love the guy but that makes absolutely no sense.

Love the guy but that makes absolutely no sense. Thanks for the welcome, this seems like a great place to get some information. As far as Jack goes, seeing what he consumed, when he said that I believe he was talking about the foods that I thought tasted good, the fried this, deep fried that, donuts, HFCS's, etc, etc. I highly doubt he was talking about fruits and vegetables :).
