I don't know. How do you make the rejuvelac?

1 cup wheat to 5-10 cups of water + a little bit of honey

I think that I have heard that it is normal, but I don't eat anything with wheat in it. I have a book at home that I will look it up in and I will post later tonight what I find.

You can still drink wheat based rejuvelac.. it has about as much to do with wheat as wheatgrass...
..or you can use rye instead.. =o)

I am sorry I forgot! Yes, it is completely normal. In fact when there is a little foam is when it is ready. Mine foams a little, but I didn't want to tell you that until I researched it because we use different things.
The reason that I do not eat anything to do with wheat in ANY way isn't because of an intolerance. i know that I could most likely eat wheat berries and stuff like that. I eat a low allergen diet because I do not agree with the amount of these "high allergen" foods in the diet. It is my opinion that the reason that there are so many people allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, and wheat is because there is a mass over consumption of these items. They are in EVERYTHING (although I am raw so I don't worry about fillers) and I want to raise my daughter with as little exposure to these things as I can so I make sure that my diet is free of them as well.
Oh. I got the answer to your question from the book Thrive (in case you wanted to know). It's a good vegan book that has some raw options and a LOT of information on food ingredients!
