Hi everyone,
My name is Tonya and I am considering doing the 30-day raw challenge in September. I don't have any major health concerns yet, but my joints sound "gritty" so I know arthritis is on the way -- just a matter of time. I would like to lose a few pounds, but I am not extremely overweight. I am really just looking for a diet that makes me feel better--more energy and more mental clarity because I often have trouble making decisions.
I have started having green smoothies for breakfast, but I am currently still eating cooked dinners -- though trying to do low-carb with lots of veggies. I am intrigued by the raw-food diet, so I think I am going to gear up and try it for 30 days. I wish I could talk my family into doing it too, but I know there is no chance with my husband. I hope that perhaps my son and daughter will at least try some of the foods I eat. Perhaps if this is a smash hit for me, they will try more of it. We'll see. But for now, I'm pretty much just doing this for myself.
I'll be cruising the forum to find tips on how to minimize the work of doing a raw diet for one -- and a more "normal" diet for three others in the same family.
Lots to learn...
