Looks like a lot of new people as well as some of us golden oldies. For those of you who are newer to the site, I went all raw overnight in June of 2009, lost a ton of weight, and healed many health conditions. The sudden death of a close family friend knocked me off the wagon in May of 2010. I did brief, half-hearted stint of raw in October of 2010 but other than that have been SAD since last May. Amazingly, the healing that occurred in my body continued in large part even while eating SAD (albeit a whole foods, lower sugar version), but I did gain back most of the weight that I lost. :thud::thud:Weirdly enough, all the expectations I placed on losing weight really didn't come to pass. For the most part my life continued as normal (contrary to all those Jennie Craig commercials, lol). But slowly some health problems are starting to return, namely migraines, fatigue, elevated blood sugars, and sore knees, and I know what fixes it. So time to stop dinking around and get back in the game. Glad to be back!

Yes, welcome back! I am also coming back. Only had a brief moment of raw in early 2009. But I am ready to jump in with you!

Great to see you coming back at the same time I am!! I was 100% raw from April '09 till Aug '09. I have known that I've needed to come back, but have fought it like crazy. My health is now making this choice for me, and I am willing to listen. My doctor asked me the other day if the "Quality of life/health was more important to me than cooked processed food"
That really spoke to me. And, this is a regular MD very mainstream, and not anywhere close to a naturopath. But, he was the one that told me to go back to raw foods, and to do a juice fast for as long as I can. He told me he would follow me and check my labs every few months to make sure I was doing good. I have been dealing with autoimmune, thyroid, gastroparesis, colonic inertia, severe joint and muscle pain, extreme fatigue, and major hormone imbalances. Sooooo, I am VERY ready to start my juice fast, and jump back on the raw wagon ;)
I pray you start feeling better very soon!!!
Blessings,
Cathy
