Hi,
I've been about 90% raw for the past week, and I am struggling SO HARD with cravings right now. I'm at work, the vending machine is taunting me, and I have nothing resembling chocolate or chips in my lunch bag. I just had a nectrarine to try and tide me a bit but OMG, this is bad. Very scared I'll break, and I haven't been to the vending machine in 2 weeks.
Help!

I had this kind of thing last week ... it's in my blog.
The best thing I did was write it somewhere public. Speltrong came to my rescue and I made it through.
You can do it too. I know you can. :)

Carry date, raw snack. Dry fruit such mango or kale chips for emergency.
It is far easier to do 100% raw, your craving will go away. Green smoothie heals addiction.
Write down the reason you went raw and read them often especially when you have those huge cravings.
Vending machine are packed of none sense stuff so called food. It is loaded with chemical, dangerous poison such MSG, dangerous cook fat, preservative and you name it. Nothing nourish your body at all. Get some highlight of why, this vending machine is none sense, it will help to back up.
Some research found that parasite will give you armful craving, you may want to consider to do a deep detox to clear that out.
Hang in there sweet heart, it truly get easier. Drink more water, it helps to ease craving.

How many calories are you eating? If you don't know you can go to www.cronometer.com and track your food for a while. A lot of the time cravings(especially for chips) are a sign you are not eating enough so your body is saying "hey man wheres the calories?!".

I get about 1300 calories daily.
Probably guessed it, but I cracked.
1 caramello and half a large pizza later, I'm sitting here crying after working out and after trying to make myself throw up and not succeeding.
Ugh.

It takes almost that amount of calories just to run ones body resting all day. I would recommend trying DOUBLE that amount of calories. And it makes sense that you went and ate a large pizza - very calorie and carb dense which your body wanted. Dont feel bad about the slip up - just get back on raw and EAT MORE. :)

Sweet heart, please don't beat yourself up and don't you try to make yourself vomit please. Focus on your accomplishment. Never eat out of guilt or making excuse to eat, do it from a responsible place and at peace. It is a journey, it is about learning. Instead, have a plan for in case you have those urges. Maybe go outside for a walk, drink water or carry a snack on you always.
You will be ok, please let go that guilt now.
Every positive step that you do for your health counts far more. I bet you have tone to share with us. You are doing good sweet heart, making choice like that vending machine is just a learning opportunity. Don't worry, what you decide to do now at this moment is what matter. Don't let your mind trick you that you are a no good and you might as well give up. This is baloney and totally none sense. What matter is now, now and to learn from your past only. Past isn't for us to slow us down or dragg us but to learn so we avoid our pitfall.
You are a gorgeous human being already, accept this truth and voila, you are free.

Thank you, Raw angel mom. You're probably right on most points, I just need to shrug this off and get over it.
Packed my lunch today and I'm going for all raw again. This was just a slip up.

Yeah, way to go
May i recommend to increase your intake on fruit (if you tolerate them of course). Your brain needs sugar and if you don't get from fruit you will crave the starch. It is a myth that fruit fat you up, they actually clean your lymph system to help you to heal.
Do the fruits in the morning and wait a good hour before eating something else, in order to avoid bloating. I do fruit up to lunch but you need to listen to your body and do what feels right to you.

Increase your fruit intake. Increase your calories to about 3000. Make sure you get a large green leafy salad plus veggies at least once a day. Carry a bag of your favorite fruit every where you go. Mine are bananas.
