Can anyone share their experiences on handling a Juice Fast while at the office? I've read many an article stating that veggie juice should be drunk directly after 'juiced' as it begins to oxidize and bunch of other things I can't recall at the moment. How did y'all overcome this hiccup?

I don't do juice only raw food so it's not a huge issue for me but we have a kitchen in work so I can take a juicer in with me if I need to :D

You can still juice in the morning and pack it in tightly sealed jars and put them in a cooler bag with cold packs and into the fridge at work if you have one...not optimal but you still get tons of nutrition. The key is finding what works for you..wishing you the best~

1). l bring the wheatgrass (on soil) with me in the car.
2). Park the car and leave the tray of wheatgrass under the car in a side street.
3). During lunch a pull a small bench out of the back seat, hook up the manual juicer and juice the wheatgrass.

Or you could just bring an electric juicer to work and juice during the break if no-one complains of the strong smell.

I do what GlimR does. I make them in the morning (sometimes the night before) and bring them to work. I keep mine in wide mouth Ball canning jars and bring a small cooler to work with an ice pack. They stay nice and cold and it works great. I could juice at work but don't feel like having to drag that juicer back and forth and cleaning it. Plus, I drink different types of juices at work and that would involve a lot of work.

a big watermelon, a colander and a big bowl, and squeeze with your hands.

Also - manual citrus juicer.

Just fill the jars of juice completely to the very top to minimize oxidation. Then refrigerate it when you get to the office. I don't think you'll lose much of the nutrition if consumed within 8-12 hours or so.

Or you could get a 'Pump n Seal' which I've seen a few raw fooders talk about:

I have a Food Saver Vacumn Sealer and bought the canning lid attachment ($9). This may be a bit of overkill for just to the office, but it could give you piece of mind.

The attachment seals (air tight) a jar and protects the juice.

I have a 32 oz bottle that I fill with my morning juice and keep it in the fridge at work. I drink half in late morning and half in early afternoon. It tastes fine. I always add some lemon to my juice to help maintain the freshness and prevent oxidation (natural ascorbic acid - Vit C - is an antioxidant).

I did a 21 day juice fast with the typical 5 days at the office. I did what Glimr did - I got up early and made two to three litres in the morning, filled my jars (I have old glass milk jugs) full to the brim, transported them in a cooler and kept them in the fridge. I felt GREAT during my fast/feast. My juices tasted fresh and yummy and I didn't bother sweating the small stuff.

Figure out what is going to work best fo YOU (made the night before, that morning, transport the juicer and produce, or any of the other cool ideas already posted) to do the fast/feast YOU want to do :) In the end....that's the only thing that will work :D

Do like I do and get your boss on board. He went and bought an Omega j8006 and then we picked out $30 worth of produce and went to town as soon as it arrived. :-)
