Hi there.
If your reading this, thankyou for taking the time.
Quick story. I'm 27 soon... :( I'm always looking for the best thing for myself. I was SHOCKED... deeply... when I saw how vibrant and amazing everyone looks who eats RAW and I wish to be the same. I have been weightlifting/bodybuilding for 6years, and SICK of all the MEAT I was eating, and wish to change up my lifestyle (I used to eat in excess of 5000calories). For the last 9months I began intermittent fasting which I've enjoyed and have cut down in the amounts of food I was eating (now eating 1800 - 2000calories). I also slowly cut down my meat intake, to something that is very minimal right now and I'm prepared to give it the flick, or at least, trial what its like first.
From all the carbs I used to eat, I developed an insulin resistance. I switched over to keto style eating which got my blood sugar levels back to normal. I've noticed on youtube most raw recipes being low GI, and high in good fats which suits me just fine.
This is all a little overwhelming atm, as I'll have to go shopping at new places and get to know all these different foods and ingredients that compliment raw eating but I'm sure I'll manage.
Question, where to get started? Since I fast, and eat 1 or 2 large meals in the evening, I can focus on 1 main recipe. Any thoughts or directions on this forum is much appreciated.
