Not that they are really excuses, I'm very dedicated to my health. I have no problem eating vegan, but for some reason really struggle with raw no matter how hard I try.
I have had health problems since January and the Doctors still aren't sure what is causing it. I want to try going gluten free for awhile to rule out gluten intolerance, and immediatly thought of going back to raw to improve my health.
Everytime I try raw, these are the things that seem to be my downfall. I'd love any suggestions or advice on working around them.
-Cost is a big thing. I am a VERY broke college student, which means I have a limited grocery budget and no money for juicers or blenders. I can make smoothies with my little magic bullet, but thats what I'm limited to.
-Convenience. I have no car, which means I always carry my groceries. It is very hard to carry a tonne of fruit home, espcially in the Winter.
Also, I have to eat more raw foods then cooked foods I find, which means more food to carry to school everyday. Any calorie dense solutions?
-Time. I'm far from lazy, but once school gets started I don't have a lot of spare time for preparing food for meals, snacks and things to bring to school.
-Boredom. I seem to get bored easy, but I have a very limited knowledge of how to prepare raw foods.
I'm also trying to avoid added fats and high fat foods.
Delicious raw cookies to anyone who read that!
