No detailed explanation of why grass juice is so amazing today, just simple basic talk, but interesting ideas here.
When l consume ample quantities of grass juice (wheatgrass, barley grass or rye grass) l usually don't feel much different afterwards, well so l thought. Then l decided not to bother with any grass juice yesterday and felt off all day because l was missing that special feeling l always get to start my day. l started off my day abit different and just had heaps of Chlorella and AFA blue-green algae on an empty stomach and then had some fruit 30 minutes after. l knew almost straight away that l was lacking that amazing feeling l usually get and couldn't really work out why all day. l thought things would get better with other sprouted meals and my beloved sunflower greens to pump things up to the highest level, but things never reached the highest level all day. Why were all other days brilliant but this day so different and a couple of notches lower than normal?? Now l know why, it was the wheatgrass juice. l can't feel it after l have drunk it, but it definitely effects me in the most positive way, l function much much better when having it because it keep me stress free and very at peace with everything. But wheatgrass juice on its own is not enough, l also need to algaes to get the highest natural high. Without the grass juice it is not as good, but without the algae it is not as good, but with both it is a perfect way to start off the day. The wheatgrass juice seems to have the most positive efffect, but maybe that's because it is freshly squeezed and consumed...no substitute for the juice factor, even powdered wheatgrass juice is only 1% effective on the real home grown grass, so l can see why freshly squeezed wheatgrass juice is so good.
l have a huge cup in the morning (250ml), and a huge cup at night (250ml).
l was speaking with another raw food fellow who speaks highly of a man called Dr David Jubb. This fellow told me that my diet and way of thinking is outdated and old hat and that there are better things now. l am open minded so l have been checking out Dr Jubb. Dr Jubb says we should be avoiding most greens, all grasses and eating our natural foods which are mostly foods that grow into a flower. lnteresting. l find that when you eat foods that grow into a flower you generally feel amazing, but eating those flower foods with wheatgrass is even more amazing. Dr Jubb is certainly high tech and has lots of brilliant sounding theories and says he has never come across anyone who has researched as much as he has (could be true), but he doesn't have the clinical research to prove any of his fancy theories. DR Jubb also says that foods can be picked off the tree for 3 weeks before the life force starts to go out of them because of some fancy energy scanners showing proof of all this, and he goes on about all types of high tech stuff that is supposed to prove him right, but l am still not sure about it all, my inner feeling is that he needs clinical research over a long period of time to really have proof of all this. David Wolfe talks the fancy talk too, but where is the clinical research to prove it all.

Hey there Mr Raw,
You've inspired me to eat more sprouts....and I've asked you before, but forgive me if you've answered, but I've never seen it: Where do you get your chlorella?
Thanks for all the inspiration/sharing.

lt is the highly regarded Sun Chlorella A with the special patented process for cracking the cell wall, but it is repackaged and made 2.5 cheaper on average:

Been getting everyone onto it lately.

Thanks!!!
I could not find any ingredients though...there must be some binders to make the tabs.......and the packaging....doesn't seem very ecological to me. What about powders? and buying in bulk (but knowing the source etc) is WAY, I mean W W A A A Y Y Y cheaper.
Just curious. Thanks again for taking the time to find those links.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread with the chlorella stuff --but knowing you, I'm sure you don't mind, as you def seem to be into sharing!
Back to wheatgrass: I have read that SOME people just suddenly get too much of the alkaloids from it and then suddenly just cannot do it any more. What are your thoughts on this? And on the whole "moderation" thing. I mean doing it in those amounts EVERY day may be seen as excessive by some.
Also, speaking of excessive, do you grow that much outdoors in a garden? in trays? That would be like what? four trays a day?
And a lot of soil used. Do you compost it?
Questions and more questions.
Thanks again,
Mary Kay

No binders used or added ingredients.

l am sure you can get granules from Sun Chlorella, but l am not sure if Hippocrates repackages it. You could always ask them. Personally, l would just get the tablets because they have no binders. This is a great product, no rubbish in them.
Just curious. Thanks again for taking the time to find those links.

lt is an interesting subject that you talk about. Wheatgrass juice is highly alkaline, but don't forget that wheatgrass juice is mainly water. So if l am consuming concentrated acid foods such as kelp (everyday) and sprouted grains (everyday) and a bunch of sprouted chestnuts (once or twice a week), the balance seems quite good and l never get too alkaline. lf l was eating only fruit and vegies it would probably be a different story.
Then again, there are times when my body tells me to not take so much algae that day because it automatically knows when l will push the alkaline limit and start feeling sick. The body is a clever thing and l trust what it tells me. lt is to a point where l know before l even start a meal how much l will need to eat of certain foods. l have ALOT of greens blended too and don't feel so alkalised like with juices and concentrated algaes...probably because so much good nutrition is destroyed by blending.

Two large wheatgrass trays a day.
And a lot of soil used. Do you compost it?
l get bags of soil. Photos later.

Very interesting. I'd like to know which are those "flower foods", can you give me an example? THIs might sound uneducated but does that mean fruits? I'm always about a low glycemic and higher protein raw diet. Anywhere you know I can get ORGANIC FOOD GRADE FLOWERS? lol....
Interestingly also I was thinking about this same thing a couple days ago. I don't know much about botany but I'm sure such knowledge helps us find the best for humans or at least the parts of the plant.
Also I've been meaning to get David Jubb's book Lifefood Nutrition. Do you know if the book talks about any of this?
Wow just after looking at the other books from David Jubb makes me think he's very similar to Gabriel Cousens theory just a lot more detailed or scientific.

ln an interview he mentioned examples like cauliflower and brocolli. Other examples would be quinoa, sunflower seeds etc.
Can anyone list all the foods that grow into a flower?

Good question. Fruit starts as a flower but ends as fruit. David Jubb talks about foods that end up with a flower. Both are different things. l'll have to find out and get his contact details from a friend if l can.

l haven't got any of his books yet, but maybe l should.
l am not convinced about Dr Jubb yet, but l am interested to check him out some more. Some folks say he is the best of the best when it comes to talking about health...lightyears above everyone else. The things which bothers me is that he doesn't seem to have proven anything, it appears to be all theory. He even says that wheatgrass juice and many greens are bad for you, and that you should avoid bean sprouts.
Here's a bunch of audio interviews by Dr Jubb:
