I'm looking for simple recipes that take 5-10min to make. e.g. not interested in those that require a dehydrator, compex prep etc. I don't mind eating the same dish repeatedly as long as its good, and it doesn't have to be especially creative or try to recreate some dish, like a raw version of cookies.
Just looking for some ideas other than salads/smoothies I can make when I'm home from work. Food prefs - I don't have a sweet tooth, and I like asian flavors, lots of spice and heat.

THESE BOOKS ARE GREAT BUT SOME REQUIRE A DEHYDRATOR
A great dessert book is Sweet Gratitude by Matthew Rogers
I Am Grateful Recipes & Lifestyles of Cafe Gratitute by Terces Engelhart- great recipes but not their current menu-wish it still was!!!!!!!
TRY ANI PHYO For Asian Recipes. Her book Ani's Raw Food Asian. If some take longer you can make these on weekends
Maybe after a while you will get a dehydrator

Here is a recipe from Ani's Raw Food Asian
It does take looger than the 10 minutes but you can start it at night and let the vegetables mariate overnight

Just hopped over to Amazon to check out Ani's book about raw Asian food - does this ever sound GREAT!
Another resource for recipes of all sorts is the recipe section of Gone Raw - lots are really easy!
Jennifer Cornbleet has a recipe book out called Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People that might be worth checking out.
And of course, since this IS Alyssa Cohen's board, check out her first book Living on Live Foods. Although some recipes are more complex, there are simple ones there too.
Out there on the web, tons of raw blogs with recipes too - have fun exploring!
Just remember this, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, are the real super foods, if you base your meals on these, you can't go wrong. In the beginning of going raw, many people want to try lots of recipes and combine things that will in some form resemble familiar foods that one is not eating currently but misses. That's OK for a little while, but soon one will start craving some simpler food for ease of preparation, not to mention one's digestion. It's a big shift going from cooked to raw, requiring a whole new way of thinking about food in general, and what constitutes a meal. Some people go simple almost from the get-go, since they were already on that track even while eating cooked foods. Others are foodies and tend to like to create more complex recipes, etc. The fact that you want things that are easy to prepare without a lot of ingredients leads me to believe that you will do well with a simple raw diet. Many people who stick with raw tend to go simpler over time, saving the more complicated things for special occasions or to impress newcomers. It's all good! Best of luck!

Instant pizza base:
Ingredients:
1/2 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 cup ground sunflower seeds
1 tsp crushed garlic
2 tsp psyllium husk (or chia seeds)
Dash of cold pressed olive oil
dried oregano and salt to taste
- Mix the psyllium husk or chia seeds with a little water so that it becomes gluggy and pasty.
- Mix sunflower seeds, flaxseed meal and garlic in a bowl with the gluggy psyllium husk
- Add olive oil (or water) until the consistency resembles a thick dough.
- Add salt and oregno
- Get your plate you want to eat off and push the mixture onto it in a circle shape.
- Add any toppings that you like! I love to process tomatoes and basil together to make the red sauce and sprinkle over cashew cheese. Marinated mushrooms, olives, capsicum, pineapple- anything goes well with it!
Also you'll need to eat the pizza with a knife and fork. But the bases keep really well in the fridge and kinda 'harden' a little the longer you leave them in there so they're more like real pizza.
Hope that helps!

Note that you can use a coffee grinder or even a pepper corn grinder to grind seeds. Also, you can use those seaweed circles (made from laver, the same seaweed used in sushi nori) as an instant pizza base (though not as authentic-tasting.)

The easiest thing to do is just make a list of all the raw vegan ingredients that you think taste good. Keep this list around so when you feel uninspired, you can read it and remember how much variety and possibility there is on the raw diet.
Also, every time you prepare something you really enjoy, write it down! Start to compile raw recipes that you really enjoy and suit your needs (easy to make, cheap, etc.)
There are SO many raw recipes for free on the internet, and many of these are simple. This site has some great ones, as does goneraw.com, simplyrawrecipes.com, rawfoodsupport.com, and so many others. One thing that I found helpful was finding raw food blogs written by someone with a similar palate as I (choosingraw.com is one I like) and try out some of his/her recipes.
Additionally, f you don't feel like pouring over the internet for recipe ideas, get as many raw food books from your local library as you can. Skim over them for ideas and inspiration.

YouTube has been a godsend for me! There is an abundance of free recipes that are not only easy but delicious as well. Some are my favorites are liferegenerator (I love his coconut almond yogurt...I add in herbs/spices for dips, use it as a base in many dressings, smoothies etc.). I also enjoyed his veggie thai wraps. blythemetz has a great berry icecream recipe. I also love the many different raw pasta dishes that are out there!
