View Full Version : Broccoli leaves?
My Broccoli plants have no heads and the ones that do are turning to seed. But, they have wonderfully large leaves.
Can I eat these? I was thinking about using them in my blended drinks in place of spinach.

What about the long stems of broccoli? I always feel bad throwing them out. I juiced the stems once but it was not the best tasting juice.. I added some apple and and it was good to go!

Very interesting. My broccoli plants did not flower either (I guess that's what you mean by "have no heads") . I live near Cleveland, Ohio and another friend of mine who lives nearby also had some broccoli that didn't flower. We have these beautiful three-foot tall plants, but no florets!
Weird. What's up with that?
