Fresh young coconut.

They are amazing. It is pretty much my source of fat now. Not that i avoid the other, i just love them and tend to eat a lean diet naturally.

ALL THE BEST

Most nuts are heat treated in some way or other. Either because heat is used to get them out of the shell or because US law says they must be pasteurised. If you buy organic almonds and they sprout when you soak them then they are raw.

Best way is to sprout sesame seeds. Easy and quick and fresh. Also occasionally sprout hulled sunflower seeds. lf you are dedicated you could sprout chia, flax and grow sunflower greens. Try keeping it fresh by sprouting over other options. Maybe even find some farms or backyards and pick almonds/nuts yourself off the trees. lf you are lucky you may be able to get coconut or avocado straight off the tree.

Best to avoid oils if you can, but if the worst comes to the worst, maybe you'll have to settle for store bought avocado's or coconuts. But definitely try sprouting sesame seeds...amazing food!!! l had a bunch of blended sprouted sesame seeds with sunflower greens 20 minutes after a tray of wheatgrass and heaps of blue-green algae, and it blew me to the moon...l was floatin' `round all day long feeling like king of the hill. :woohoo:

Everyone should be eating sesame seed sprouts. One of the highest sources of vitamin E ever, yet sprouting it increases the amount by 600%. One of the highest sources of B complex vitamins on earth, yet sprouting increases some of them by over 1000%, maybe even 3,000% [if l recall]. One of the most amazing sources of manganese and Magnesium, so this combined with B compolex vitamins will calm your nerves and you will feel great all day (Magnesium is so rare in diets these days too, so you'll be feeling extra good in a stress filled world). An amazing source of iron. One of the highest sources of Calcium on earth...critical for vegans. A very very good source of Zinc...critical for vegans. The only vegan source of vitamin T lol. l could talk about sesame day and night until the cows come home, but to cut it short i'll just say that it's really really good stuff, the best!!!

Doing weeds, grass, blue-green algae, sprouted sesame and sunflower greens will give you the best day ever. l know this because l do it all the time. lt always works and l always have the best day ever. l feel like l am at the carnival every day.

coconut butter/oil and olive oils are good and are recommended by my raw vegan doctor and nutritionist. He lectures on nutrition and health and owns a raw vegan restarauant. I like to spread coconut butter on a cracker for a good energy boost. I use the NOW brand of coconut oil.

Extracted oils are o.k, but having oil still in a wholefood is even better. My vegan doctor and nutritionist who lectures and writes books is also full of these funny ideas about adding oils. He is also a raw food chef and is into the questionable notion of incombined meals, high fat, salt and giving laboritory made B12 injections. Wholefoods are always going to be better, why extract an oil from nature and then add it again??...doesn't make sense, besides...adding oil to food isn't that simple.

lf you hate to eat any foods with high fat in them, then fine, add oils if you want to do that. But if you like high fat foods, wouldn't it be better to eat them instead off adding fat?...of course it would. lt's all about common sense.

Mr Raw, how do you sprout your sesame seeds? In a jar just like any sprout?

Always on a sprouting tray. Soak for 4 - 6 hours, rinse twice a day and then sprout for 2 days in decent weather in the dark. Brilliant!!!

Mr Raw,

I've only soaked sesame seeds, so thanks for the inspiration! do yu then put them in the sun to green them up? Or do they just have tails on them?

Also, chia seeds actually have more fat in them (or so i've read) before you sprout them, just soaked. But I like a little sprouted chia now and then for variety....

Never put them in the sun, l like to keep them nice and soft by keeping themin the dark. l have plenty of greens l leave out in the sun so their is no need to ruin my beautiful sesame seeds.

Yes, less fat but still the same amount of fatty acids. lnstead of your body having to break down the heavy fats into fatty acids, the sprouting process has already done this for you so the feul is almost instantly usable with minimal effort from the body. Protein is broken down into amino acids, starches into simple sugars mainly and fats into fatty acids, + huge vitamin increases (best on earth) + high enzyme activity which is absorbed in the mouth + many many other great things.

l don't know how significant this is but, AFA blue algae has identicle essential fats that the brain is constructed of, no other foods have this.
