Hello everyone. I am looking for some help. My name is Norma and about a year ago I began to do something about my health and fitness and have learned so much. I recently had a gathering where I shared what my journey has done for me and I met this coupl in my neighborhood who spoke to me about eating raw, illnesses and disease. I shared my father's situation and they told me about the benefits of eating raw. I began searching and in my desire to help my farther and respect his wishes to not do the traditional radiation and chemo. My father lives in Mexico half the time and I am looking for recipes that I can make and freeze so he can take them with him to eat. I am new to all of this so any help would be greatly appreciated. I too am now looking into making more changes in how I eat. It is not easy but very worth it. Thank you.
Norma

When it comes to dealing with any type of disease, juicing is key in my opinion to flush the cells of toxic matter and regenerate them with life energy. So, if you have not got one already, buy a juicer, and get your father drinking as much of the fresh fruit & vegetable juices as he is comfortable with on a daily basis. Drinking lots of fresh, clean water is also key (if not more important) during the re-establishment of true health within the body. As for food, considering he is dealing with a disease... I would suggest a low-fat raw vegan diet to begin cultivating health, along with juicing (daily). Some small amounts of nuts and seeds are fine for healthy sources of fat (soaking them is even better if you have time to do this), but keep it in moderation as too much fat creates more acidity in the body which is essentially what your father is looking to reverse.
A simple/typical raw food plan for a day:
Morning/breakfast - Grapes or watermelon... Get the system awake with something very light/easily digestable, and also something that will flush the body! These foods are excellent at doing this.
Afternoon/lunch - 4-5 Bananas is a good meal, maybe a few nuts and seeds if there is still hunger.
Evening/dinner - A big salad consisting of 5-10 different vegetables (spinach, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, etc) -- Make the salads with LOTS of greens! :)
This will make a great start in your father's healing journey with this issue. Remember -- From what I have written here, I am in no way saying this is a model to treat or cure your father's disease... But I am saying it is 100% the basic, correct steps to take in cultivating true physical health within his body... 'Cultivating health' are the key words here ;) The sooner he can start incorporating more FRESH (not frozen or dehydrated) fruit & vegetables the better, and the quicker he will be able to re-claim his health and vitality!
I hope this helps, at least for ideas on getting started. I send my best wishes to you and your father, and wish him all the best on his healing journey, and that he makes a fantastic recovery (I'm sure he will with such a supportive relative!) :)
Peace

Thank you. I am trying to get him to do that. It will take some time to convince him and show him how to use a juicer. He is older. I will pass this along to him. I have ordered the recovery kit supplements from HACRES which is all about rah foods and cultivating true physical health. It just gets so expensive.
Hey, does he know about Hippocrates in West Palm Beach? And have you heard about green smoothies yet?
They are truly great for healing and building the body!
I'm THRILLED to hear you are making changes too -- you and your father are in my thoughts -- what luck that he is willing to go the healing route instead of chemo!

Indeed, your father is very wise even for just considering this route. I agree as well - smoothies are fantastic for regeneration - Banana & spinach is my all time favourite as it's so simple, yet very powerful. Please don't hesitate to ask on here if there is anything you may be unsure of that others, including myself may be able to help you with, along with additional raw food info you can share with/pass along to your father :)

Good evening. I am so sorry it has taken me this long to respond. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my posts. I am looking into different things. I have not heard of Hippocrates but am going to Google them. I actually have been busy making my dad some recipes from this site for him to take to Mexico with him. I also am looking into doing more changes in my own diet. I look forward to learning more. I am just afraid of losing my father to this and never thought that changing your diet could actually heal you!

Of course changing your diet can heal you! It allows your body to do what it's meant to do. That's what it really comes down to.
I know people, personally, who have gone to Hippocrates and have healed from all sorts of stuff. It's not cheap, but neither is death. There is always the very good chance that with his will to live and heal, coupled with more green foods and a raw diet, will *poof* cure him. There is nothing to fear!
