Can you eat mushrooms raw? By mushrooms I mean the ones you buy in the supermarket?

Yes and they have the good b12 for you. Don't wash them, use a paper towel to clean the dirt and you will be all set.
Enjoy them
p.s They also have vitamin D.

yes you can ... they do have some substance in that is mildly toxic but so do many things you wouldn't question eating. I eat them sparingly.

Cool I'm going to use them to replace bread in my diet. I find them lovely raw with a bit of apple cider vinager.
Depends on who you ask, for all of these. The B12 is really nonexistent for most commercially produced mushrooms, sadly, because of the lack of nutrition in the soil. Totally different if you can get it from a local farm that really puts in the love or even grow/harvest them yourself with a mushroom log!
I personally don't see a problem with eating them at all, even after having read in a few places that there are harmful sides to them. I also don't find spinach to be harmful with the "oxalates". Everything is going to have SOMETHING that is not perfect about it. And I can't very well not eat anything. SO, mushrooms are great in my opinion! lol!
