As I was looking at their menu, I thought ... hmm?? I have Alissa's book and she has recipes for this stuff (or something close)!! :) And it makes more than enough servings!! :) Just thought I would give some encouragement to you (I know I am finally getting back into this and am enjoying the encouragement).

Hey Paula,

Thanks for posting this! I may consider doing this to help get thru the holiday!! I'm the only raw foodist in the family, so I can only imagine how Turkey Day (or should it be called "Un-Turkey Day"??? :) ) will be.

I agree; sure looks interesting, and willing to pay above/extra for the raw food, though the shipping is so EXPENSIVE.

Shipping to my state is $53.00, that's $13 more than the food! Guess I'd have to be a celebrity or something to do that.

I wonder how their mashed potatoes taste? I haven't been able to get mine made with cauliflower to taste very good. Maybe it's the cashews they use.

Sharon...I would love your mashed potato recipe. I've heard many people say they didn't really like "cauli-mashed potatoes"...I would love to give them a try if someone has a tried-and-true recipe :D

The one I tried and didn't like was the Victoria Boutenko one. It had cauliflower, olive oil and avocado processed together. It tasted horrible to me.

YOU ARE WORTH IT.

If purchasing an already prepared raw meal will keep you at 100% raw during the Thanksgiving holidays, then why not go on ahead and splurg.

You deserve it.

Thanksgiving is the ONE day each year that we set aside to give thanks for our NEW WORLD, our new life, our new way of being.

How perfect is this for our Raw lifestyle.

So, I say, if you want this, then do this, you deserve it, you are worth it, and I've spent this much on Thansgiving before and had it turn out awful in the cooked world, so why not eat delicious, fresh raw food that someone has lovingly prepared for you.

...just in case you may have missed it, Joel offers to sent the recipes at no cost upon request for most of the a la carte food items. I don't think this applies the Thanksgiving spread...but even still I think that is very cool! I have requested and immediately received several of the recipes already via email...

Oh my gosh! How exciting, a new resource to keep us raw and strong. I agree with RP, we are all worth it, this is great!

I've ordered from Joel before and his food is really wonderful!!!!
I was very happy with the food part, but shipping to Texas did not work
out for me. It was expensive and the food was borderline cool
on my 1st order getting here (they sent it 2nd day).
It was in the Texas *summer* heat though.
I ate it and didn't get sick so it was ok and not bad yet and very tasty.
The 2nd time I opted to pay EXTRA for it to be overnighted. Well for some reason FedEX or UPS (can't remember which?) did not deliver it overnight and it came 2nd day like the previous order and was totally warm (lids had bubbled up and stuff leakingfrom the heat) and had already gone bad by the time it arrived.
Now that wasn't rawlifelines fault
though, and they refunded my $ and handled it very professionally.
So not trying to slam anyones business, just sharing my experience so others would be aware if ordering it from far away &
unforseen circumstances can occur esp. for a holiday meal.
But now that it's fall and cooler,
it should help with that issue too I think.
Hope this was appropriate to share....

Oh my heck rawpriestess, you brought the biggest smile to my face:)
You have such an abundant heart and could talk me into just about anything...I'm certain of it! I may just have to follow your advice and sound reasoning to make this day truly memorable in all of the positive ways.

Where do they ship from? It seems like a great idea for the holidays....I too, will be the only one eating raw. I would like to make something, but I know I will be busy. I know that there are a lot of quick things to have, but the full spread sounds yummy!

RawLifeLine ships from the Philadelphia, PA area. Since I live in NJ, shipping to me is only $18.00. I placed a full order earlier this week (the $70 one), and I'm really looking forward to the food arriving.

I've already tried some of their food.. I looked on their website, and they sell their food in certain stores.. well, I found one not too far from us, so we went there last week. It was www.deansnaturalfoodmarket.com. We went to the one in Shrewsbury. What a fantastic store. ALL of their produce is organic! Plus they had a juice bar, salad bar, etc. No more mainstream grocery stores for us.

I tried their hemp kale salad, raw chili, thai cole slaw, raw meatballs, and carob mousse pie. All were good.. the mousse pie was to die for! I asked for and received the recipe.. not too many ingredients.. I am definitely making this one for Thanksgiving dinner at the in-laws.

I only know of one other place that ships raw meals, and they're TWICE the price (but they're in Texas.. which might be good for some of you). http://purerawcafe.com/mealdelivery.html
I've never ordered from them.. I can justify $88 a week, if it's going to be delicious and help keep me raw.. but $135 for 5 meals and a dessert.. well, let's just say I'm not a millionaire. :) For the $88, though (that includes shipping), I'm due to get three entrées , three sides, two soups, two desserts, dressing & one package of crackers. It should come this Thursday.. I'll try to post a review. If it's THAT good, I'll probably order on a weekly basis.. cause, I'm worth it. :)
