"Meat"balls w/o garlic or onion??

I'm really craving "meat"balls or a "meat"loaf but I have really bad reactions to garlic, onions, scallions, asafoetia, etc. Has anyone figured out a recipe for either that doesn't need these ingredients to taste good? I'm thinking walnuts, sun-dried tomatoes...herbs... and then I get stuck.
