We're currently out of season here in the UK for kale I believe. Does anyone from the UK know where I can order organic kale in England? They sell chemical kale by the bucket load in supermarkets but I only want organic. I'm based in Kent. Any help would be appreciated as I'm addicted to kale chips (i'm new to raw and they're getting me through the detox period) but buying them in is bankrupting me! Help!?

have you tried Riverford? Also Daylesford organic might be a possibility though probably expensive

Both Riverford and Able and Cole stopped supplying it when the season ended as I think they only use British farmers. I'll have a look at the other one though, thanks

it's super easy to grow - in fact, red russian kale is on the verg of becoming a noxious weed in my yard, lol! I love leting things go to seed - this year free kale, parsley, cilantro and dill popped up everywhere! Now that is free - no money no time no effort expended.

If you have a sunny window, try in some containers.....it grows quickly and you can cut and come again several times.....

Paying for Kale - I just can't do it anymore, lols! It's a freebie.

I will be moving house in the next few months so I will most definately be growing my own when I have a garden. But i'll still have the season dip during the summer with kale here in England.

Jaz - in UK - you may well be able to grow kale year round. It can take a few light frosts, and taste better for it. It bolts in hot weather, but you can keep it well clipped to slow that down.

While it bolts - the young flower shoots are also edible, like a mini broccoli or rapini...

Don't know if they have it in season, but Rod and Bens also stock it from time to time.

Tesco sell Organic kale when it's in season I think, if not, try your local market! :)
