I'm just starting on raw and not keen on the amount of nuts in some recipes, i.e. 1 cup which is a massive amount of calories.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to bulk up meals - I like avocado but I can't have that at lunch and tea!

Do people eat an avocado a day?

Thanks

I had two avos yesterday and may have two today ... some days I have none.

Nuts are very nice soaked and you will adjust to eating them in sensible quantities. Don't be scared of them.

Sprouted seeds and grains are a good bulk adder. Check out the sprouting section on the forum and also videos on you tube.

Grated sweet potato is another filling food and I have that in a kim-chee-come-coleslaw that I make with a raw dressing.

The permutations are endless and it is great fun discovering new flavour and texture combos

What about using Buckwheat instead?
