Good afternoon everyone,
I found this thread after posting a couple of things and thought I would come introduce myself. My name is Marshall. I currently reside in California, well I have resided here my whole life. At the age of 3 I told my parents I hated meat and did not want to eat it. They were horrified. You know a child must have meat. Where will you get your protein? All those things. It was a fight. To top it off I hated vegetables cooked, I wanted them raw. They were not having that. They would put meat on my plate and I would sit there and look at it. Then they would serve it to me for breakfast, and guess what, I would look at it. After about 2 weeks of us going back and forth like this, they finally gave in, I did not have to eat it. :throwhearts:
Moving forward closer to the present. I starting looking into raw food about September of last year. I happened upon an article that intrigued me and I decided to research it. I told my partner about it and he was like ok, this may be kinda cool. So research research research I did. I was kinda taken back with all the research, but didnt know where to start, until December when a raw food store opened in my area. I walked in there and started asking questions. They let me know they had a class once a month. I took one class then decided now that I have taken the initiative, I got a base on it, I have a place I can buy things now to find recipes.
So all of January through April I made every dessert recipe I could find (you know desserts are the staple to any good diet). I just loved it. Everyone I had tasting them loved them. So I went a little further in April and started making other things. My GOODNESS raw food was delicious.
So a few weeks ago I set myself a raw date of 7/11/11. I stopped eating cooked food and went raw. HOLY CRAP I HAVE ENERGY> :excited: I am loving every second of it. My partner is loving it too. :woohoo: I will continue to be raw because I have noticed a differance, because I don't care what others think, because when Im 100 and all the people my age are in a wheelchair I can say you should have eaten raw.
Oh one last thing, I am still drinking Dr. Pepper. I would love to be ablke to make my own raw version of Dr. Pepper. If someone knows how please tell me. I am an addict to this. Maybe with time as I continue my rawness, my DP cravings will go away, but for now that is my one bad habbitt.
Thanks for reading my story,
Marshall
