View Full Version : Anyone up for a stopping NIGHT EATING challenge????

So here I am laying it all on the line. For years upon years I have been eating a large proportion of my food at night right before I go to bed. Some days I am better than others. However, it is something that has always bothered me and I really need some support in stopping this long-existing bad habit.

It has been too long that I wake up in the morning annoyed with myself for having mindlessly consumed excessive food at night right before bed (night a great way to start the day)

I do it because I am tired and to be honest I think I find it comforting almost because it is almost like a ritual to me after all these years it just feels weird if I dont eat right before bed.

So I am asking anyone else who has a similar issue out there, wether they want to challenge themselves to stop with me and we will write about it each night to each other!

Are you ready to finally stop this bad habit, to allow your digestive system the rest it deserves at night????

I have commented on your blog also ... but then noticed this posted here.

Other than not eating at night, what are your raw goals. You must have a variety of things you hope to achieve.

Make a list of them and put them in order of "real" importance.

Note what you are eating during the day and at what times and how you feel about these foods and and how you feel about yourself.

Drink enough water and find a single, raw, vegan food that you let yourself have unlimited amounts of (within reason budget-wise). That special food is your get-out-of jail-free card. You can't label yourself bad or failed if you eat this food. Make sure you have it in the house. (tomatoes and watermelon are mine)

When you feel the need to eat in the evening actually ask yourself why you want that food. Offer yourself the get-out-of jail-free food. If you don't want it, ask yourself why. Be honest with yourself.

I think it is possible that you are not eating enough of a varied diet during the day. With raw, vegan food you have to eat quite a lot in order to satisfy your body's needs.

This is a great idea and a good way to buy out a few year from aging.

What time you want to set about not eating at night. (5, 6 or 7).

I am already doing no more then 5pm.

Anyway, all the best and this is without question something great to do for yourself.

I would love to do the challenge with you. My nutritionist says eating at night also increases your tryglicerides. Just let me know when you want to start. Yes I eat at night and yes I have trouble stopping it.

So why dont we start tonight. I work nights so it is usually hard for me, but i can definitly challenge myself to not eat past 8 or 9, you choose.... thank you for the support everyone.

i definitly eat enough food during the day etc, it is just a comfort thing and I think it is a great goal to have to increase health, better sleep etc.

Shall we start tonight?
