I am new at raw foods and just received Alissa's book. Is there anyone in the Central Valley that could help me along here? Or maybe there is a class someone knows about to "educate" me in raw food eating?

Sorry, I'm not even in the US but welcome anyway. You will learn a lot here and when you read Alissa's book you will be able to do raw quite easily; it's a very good tool for a beginner I think.

Ok thanks! Maybe it's not as hard as I am making it out to be! I am such a data collector, so it takes me some time to gather data and apply. I am coming out of a sugar and white flour lifestyle, so this is going to be a change. I am determined. Got my kale chips in the dehydrator and three days without sugar. Well, unless, dates are considered sugar.

What I did when I first started raw was I read all the archived posts here in the forums that interested me (like Raw and Living Food Discussion, the recipes, juicing, etc). I learned more doing that than any other. It took me 3-4 months of reading (all the while raw). Welcome!! *Ü*

Michelle,

I am in Fresno. I am also new to raw food. I have been dabbling with it for about 8-10 months, went 100% Monday. I am having difficulty though. It isn't easy at first but play with the recipes and make them taste your way. Feel free to contact me anytime.
