Does anyone have this juicer?

I have the 330 HD which is the same juicer, just in white.

I like it a lot, but it does let a lot of pulp into the juice so for some juices I need to strain after juicing

Thanks for the reply Lani. How is it for greens, kale, romaine, etc?
I have the champion but I just don't find it convenient to use often because it's so heavy and takes up too much room on a very small counter space. I know it's a great juicer and a workhorse but if I don't use it what's the point? Are you happy with it?

It is supposed to be great for greens but it was when I first tried to juice Kale that I realized how much pulp gets in - if you put it through the nutmilk bag, it does great though.

One thing you need to do also is break the pieces so the stringy parts (in celery especially don't get caught in the machine.

I watched several of John Kohler's videos on You Tube - he has some great comparison videos on his site. The good reviews he gave on Youtube coupled with the small footprint on my kitchen counter is what made me decide to go with the VRT.

And yes, overall I am happy with it! But I have to admit I haven't juiced a lot either.

I was actually thinking I wish I'd gotten a Breville - I go to a juice place sometimes near here when I want juice but don't feel like making it - they make the juice in the Breville and it's done within seconds. That is what Joe Cross uses for Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, so I almost wish I'd gotten that one. The reason I don't juice as often as I'd like is that it just takes too long. I know the slow masticating juicer gives me more nutrients ... but the time is the barrier for me.

does it really take longer to juice at home than to go out to the juicebar, order, get served, drink the juice and come back?

I am getting into juicing more and I juice my fruit and veg. Set it to strain while I give the pulp to the hens and wash out the juicer. Then I take my juice somewhere peaceful and sit down with it. The prep & clean-up takes less than 5 minutes and my juicer is really rubbish!

I watched that the other day and was really moved and inspired...I have the champion which I know many people adore and I have the L'equip mini which is also very fast but inefficient (just gave it away to someone today). After seeing that video and also the glowing success of several folks here I am inspired to at least, just daily...but I know if it isn't easy I won't do it...lazy, yes in some regards but with six toddlers/preschoolers here all day from 6-6 I need easy!!:wuv

Yes, it takes me a lot longer. The juice bar is on the way from my office to my house, so it's 5 minutes extra if that. :) I'd say the cleaning veggies, juicing and washing up takes at least 20 minutes, longer if I decide I want to juice extra). Cheaper juicers like the Breville and other centrifugal juicers are a lot faster at the juicing part, but I do understand that the juice oxidizes a lot faster which is why I opted to get the VRT. Twenty minutes is not that long, but lately I just haven't spent the time because I've had other things going on so juicing hasn't been a priority for me. But I am glad I bought the VRT.

had the VRT350 for about a week now
so far love the thing :) our old one was a Omega 1000 we have had for years and going to sell it now have had some older style centrifugal models of past so they dont count since that was ten years ago and dont own anymore
sadly had to move to the mainland a while ago and gained some weight from a non Maui lifestyle so got into Juicing to get more health and loose some weight
starting with a Juice fast so we are using it 5x a day for the wife and I and our oldest child is having fun also
we are doing things like handful of spinach and celery and apples to sweeten
started using our omega 1000 and found out its very dated for what we want with two people

my thoughts are its a great machine and chose it as a nice over all machine that nice in size etc..
the http://www.discountjuicers.com site has some really good comparison videos and lots of them on the 350 which helped me decide

I would have bought from him but they had it at our local bedbathbeyond with the %20 could not pass up that price :)

I am very very happy with the purchase so far and love we can do greens and fruits and both do very well
the clean up is pretty easy or should say way easier than our 1000 pain to clean that was !
anyway pop it apart the only thing that takes a minute to do is the screen part the brush that comes with it works great
note though we do pineapple and celery so the stringies are what takes a touch more to brush out but again pretty quick small screen area
not sure real time ? maybe two minutes tops could do it quicker but Mauitude :) no hurries sip my juice as I am cleaning kinda thing

CKMaui- best wishes for you and your family. I have also watched all the videos both on YouTube and discount juicers. I bought the Omega Vrt350 Saturday at BBB with the 20% off and it was about $320 with tax. They didn't have it in the store so will be shipping it to me and I am really looking forward to it. In the meantime have been been using my Champion which is doing great for now.
