Hello all,
I am looking for a raw recipe for making rose water. I would assume rose petals and water, but do not know if anything else should be added, what the ratios are, how long to let it steep, how long it keeps, refrigerate after making or store at room temperature, etc. Any information you can offer would be helpful.
Thanks,
Marshall

I've had rosewater and it was really not the best taste. Maybe if I was making it, I would up the water to disolve the strong flower-y taste. So, not sure of the ratios, but more water than rose

Sidrah,
Thank you. Everything I read online tells me to boil it, I am just trying to not do that. Thanks for your input on the taste. I mainly want it for use in recipes, not to drink. I did go to the local health store, but they do not have any. I guess I am just going to try it and see what comes.

here is the recipe
Rose Water
Ani Phyo Ani’s Raw Food Asian
To make this recipe, use freshly picked rose petals free of chemical pesticides or chemicals and ideally organic. Use only petals and not the stems or leaves. Wash the petals by submerging in a bowl of water to remove bugs or dirt and use immediately
½ cup firmly packed rose petals
1 cup filtered water
Blend petals and water for at least a minute. Pour through a sieve to strain out the petals and squeeze out the remaining liquid from the petals.
Store immediately in a sealed jar in fridge. Best to use as soon as possible, if not immediately. Batches vary and may last a few days or longer.
