Hi there!

I started raw yesterday with a juice fast. I broke it at midnight by eating a few slices of avocado, and boy were they tasty! I consumed mostly fruit juices yesterday (like 90%) and some carrot juice. Today I woke up and had a banana, and some berry juice.. it feels like my sugar is spiking from here to the heavens. I have a ridiculous amount of energy (like, more than I've had in years), but it feels like manic energy caused by a sugar high. I know I need to lay off the fruit juices and balance it with some other tasty veggies.. but anyway.. that's where I am. Wanted to say hi and introduce myself! I'm 27 and live in Florida. :) :eat

Welcome to the forum.

Sometimes that high is just what it is to be eating raw food. Leafy greens will be a good addition and sprouted nuts, seeds and grains - which I find to be grounding. I also recommend seaweeds if you can get them raw.

Welcome to the forum! :) I've recently gotten into juicing and hoping to embark on a juice fast soon so been experimenting with diff juices. Try juicing some greens like cucumbers, celery and spinach with a sweet fruit like apples or pineapple + some lemon - fresh and alkalizing but still sweet and tangy! Plus loaded with phytonutrients.
