Hello!
I've been hanging out for a month or so just reading posts. You are really an inspirational group of people! I love reading about folks who have benefited from this way of eating. It's so uplifting!
At any rate, I'll quit fawning. I'm a 40 year old woman and have been a vegetarian for 6 years (for animal rights purposes, not for health purposes) so, needless to say my diet wasn't very good. I was starting to get 'knocks and pings' in my joints, my short term memory was garbage and I was having heart palpitations for days!! It was when my sister (also veggie) turned me onto the green smoothie did I notice a significant change in my health. No more heart palpitations, knocks and pings in my joints only return when I backslide and eat cooked food and my memory is getter better all the time now.
I've been raw (about 80% I'd say) for 4 months now and while I may backslide now and again (dinners out with friends) I'm committed to the raw way of life.
Nice to meet everyone!
Oh, BTW...last night I made a papaya salsa that was phenomenal. I'll post the recipe. I know papayas are really expensive, but it's a wonderful splurge.
