I am introducing green juices into the support centre for drug addicts and alcoholics that I volunteer at to see if it will benefit their recovery... do you think 500ml of green juice per day (mon-fri) will have significant (and obvious) benefits? When we get an allotment and begin to grow our own then we could make more juices, but for now the costs mean that 500ml is about our limit. But will it be enough? The green juice i'll be making will be kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, coriander, lemon, apple, ginger. Thank you! :)

I would think so. Bear in mind that people new to green juices are not always won over to them in the first instance!

ANY amount of green juice will be a bonus... regardless of how little they choose to take in. It's pure nutrition that's easy to absorb.

That said... it's not the yummiest juice choice. I would rather supplement them with spirulina than give them juice. Just my opinion...

I totally resonate with Aleesha. Any green is a bonus.

500ml is better then zero but don't deprive yourself and go for it.

I used to do only green smoothie (two bunch of green per day which gave me two mug of smoothie of 1.5 litre each). Now i do one smoothie a day sometime more and i do a nice juice (leafy green, fresh herbs, red pepper, cucumber or zukini or anis, sometime tomato whatever is available at the store). I also love juicing dandelion with one whole orange and green apple (the orange neutralize the bitterness). I do as much wheat grass juice as i can too.
