It looks a little like FL Avocados to me. . .

It doesn't feel like an avocado. I'm going to need to chop it. Also, the outside feels sticky like how some green papaya does.

Open one and find out. Could be a form of avo or... I can't think of the fruit yet, hard to tell by the pic and the lighting.

Did you pick it off a tree?
If so, if you have access to the tree and a smart phone, Columbia University has an app for that. Look for "leaf snap" which will help you identify what type of tree it is.
Good luck!
(actually just looked and it says fruit & flowers too ... it's free for ipad & iphone)

I opened it and ate 2 slices raw. Inside is light yellowish with some very, very small and light edible seeds. It kind of reminds me of a squash.

They reminded me of guavas. I found the following at photobucket.

Sorry about the size, but didn't know how to make the image smaller instead of how it turned out

I was going to say guava also and there are ones with whitish/yellowish insides too but the seeds are hard.
