I know this has been brought up before. Ok . I was in the lunch room with unhealthy eaters. I got my green juice out. Everybody asks what's in it. "OH that has too many carbs. They has too much sugar those carbs are just going to turn to fat." so Ive had it with there little comments. " So please tell me what nutrients are in your white pasta and fried chicken. ? I said I don't comment on all of the unhealthy crap you are putting into your body. So why do you always have something to say about my healthy stuff."

I think its envy or jealousy that they can't start eating this way themselves.

I used to think it was envy but now I think it is fear ... fear that you are right and they are wrong.

Just let the comments wash over you. It's not worth the stress of stressing out.

I would not even dignify their comments with a response, just smile and shrug it off. You can't change a persons view point if they are not open to it.

I had a friend tell me the reason I was not losing weight very fast while eating raw was because if all the "sugar" I was eating. Meaning fruit. I just shrugged and smiled and said well at least it is something my body knows what to do with.

To each his own.

instead of feeling any sort of negative energy or "resentment" to people. Just educate them and tell them why its good and the benefits. This is not just about food but life in general. We eat well, but lets make the thoughts we have in our heads only good ones instead of anything negative. We cleanse our body with this food, now lets cleanse our soul and remove ego and negativity as much as we can :).

if even one persons listens and makes a change its a win.

I would let the results speak for themselves.

From experience - I found out a few years ago that people do NOT like to have you dissect the food they eat - pointing out how much fat/carbs/etc. We should all show that consideration to each other!

lol the people I work with are great, when I bring green smoothie one coworker always asks if I have extra and will drink or eat whatever I share. He is not raw but is really healthy. And I have gotten another girl to start making her own raw almond milk :)

I am so fortunate also that my coworkers are really interested and supportive of my raw diet.

Every time I make a new creation I bring samples for them and they love them. They can't believe how great everything tastes and that it is raw. In fact, my one coworker (who is not raw, but eats healthy) just bought an Excalibur dehydrator so she can make some of the raw treats I've been bringing into the office.

I hope your coworkers get a little more open to what you're doing. It does sound to me like their confronted by their own unhealthy eating choices and projecting it on you. I'd echo Sports advice to just ignore it and let the results speak for themselves.

Good luck.

don't let them get to you. people are brainwashed and afraid. silly but true. most people think its weird to eat the way we do. well... ok.... more fresh foods for us then. :heart

I agree with Harvie316. We need to keep a positive attitude about reactions to our raw food. I have had several people look at my food with an eyebrow cocked. Then later they ask for me to teach them about my lifestyle. I have been raw for 2 years and I am getting a bit tired of reactions and explanations but thats all part of going against the herd. If we could only get people to realize that feeling good, having energy (not needing a nap to get thru the day), and absence of illness is worth all the effort of the transition. Keep up the good work...you never know if you will save a life one day.
