I drink the stuff, is that bad? Is it any different to raw honey in the sense of its benefits?
Do you make it yourself, is it raw?
Of course it's different, dates and honey are two different things. Not sure what benefits are we talking about. Dates are nutritionally much better than honey, they contain quite a bit of vitamins and minerals.
If it were me I'd choose that dates syrup over honey, if it's raw and not too processed.

Well it's meridian date syrup, says on the bottle, organic and contains no preservatives or sweetners. doesn't say raw though, hard to find something that does, only JUST found raw honey.
I'll probably have to go with raw honey, even though date syrup has higher iron content just so i know it's raw.

you can make a date paste ... I think DebB has a recipe. Try a "banana search" - click the banana at the top of the page and search for it. Otherwise I will post later after work.

You drink the stuff? Is it bad? In what sense? Drinking straight date syrup? Ummm, well, I dunno. How much are you drinking? Like, a glass a day? a quart?
My suggestion, if you need the sweet, eat more fruit and root veggies. Those are good.
